How to Book

Placing a booking with us is straight forward and simple, however you may want to be aware of some of the details you'll be expected to include during the booking process. The below information is a quick guide to help your booking go as smoothly as possible, whether you choose to place your booking online via our website, or over the phone with one of our Customer Service agents.

  • The weight and dimensions of your consignment

Whether you are sending just one or multiple parcels, you will need to know the weight and dimensions of each piece in your consignment. Simply enter the weight in kilograms, followed by the length, width and height of each parcel into our quote generator and you will be able to view and compare our rates. Need help measuring your shipment? You can refer to our Weight and Dimensions Guidance page for more information.

  • The collection and delivery address information

You will need to make sure you know the complete details of the collection and delivery addresses, including a contact telephone number for the recipient.
  • Choose your collection date

In most cases, we are able to offer collections up to a week in advance. Should you ever need to rearrange your collection for a different day, simply give us a call and we can reschedule this for you.
  • Add a description and value of your goods

Your consignment will need to be accompanied by a customs invoice  - this is simply a document detailing the contents and value of the goods you are sending. You will have opportunity during the booking process to enter this information, with your customs invoice being generated once the booking is complete. We recommend providing an itemised list of the goods within your parcel along with a value for each. This is particularly important for consignments travelling outside of the European Union.

It is also important to be aware of what you can and cannot send via our services. It is your responsibility as the sender to make sure the contents of your consignment are acceptable. You can refer to our Dangerous, Hazardous and Prohibited Items information page for more guidance.
  • Commodity codes

Whether you are importing or exporting goods, you may want to include the relevant commodity codes on your customs invoice so your goods pass through customs efficiently. It is your responsibility to make sure you choose the correct commodity code. You can refer to the online Trade Tariff to find out which code best represents your consignment.
  • Print your documentation

Once your booking with us is complete, your documentation will be emailed to you, as well as being readily available from within your My Account area. You will need to have printed copies of the shipping labels and customs invoices at the collection point, ready for when the driver arrives to collect the shipment. Don't have access to a printer? Give us a call and we can post the paperwork to you (UK addresses only).
