Duty reversal/DDP Administered for billing customs taxes and duties to the shipper rather than the receiver.

Fuel surcharge A fee charged by DHL that covers the fluctuating cost of fuel. It is included in our prices and added on to some other surcharges as a percentage (where noted above). It varies depending on whether the service is express/air or standard/road. Fuel surcharges are updated regularly.

Insurance

Weight Restrictions for all DHL Express services
- Maximum recommended weight for parcels: 70kg
For goods heavier than 30kg, you must use a loading aid and/or a pallet.
Please be prepared to assist the driver with shipments heavier than 30kg.
If shipments are not palletised properly, DHL Express may palletise if deemed necessary at your expense. - Maximum weight for palletised goods: 1000kg

Volumetric Weight
- DHL Express calculates volumetric weight on import services from countries outside of the EU, by multiplying the three dimensions of your parcel together and dividing by 5000. How the volumetric weight is calculated.

Packaging Requirements
- For goods weighing between 30-70kg, a pallet or crate is recommended
- For goods over 70kg, a pallet or crate must be used
Returns
- Undeliverable shipments may be returned to the sender at cost.
