Over Handled/Oversized Pieces Applied to packages with a single dimension in excess of 120cm length, less than 3cm height or more than 150l volume; Non-stackable non-conveyable; additional handling due to packaging (for example: suitcases, tires, bags, wooden or metal boxes, plastic buckets (verified for shipping), bales of cloth, bundled parcels), non-cuboid shaped parcels, No-read parcels where label can't be scanned automatically)

Fuel surcharge A fee charged by GLS that covers the fluctuating cost of fuel. It is included in our prices and added on to some other surcharges as a percentage (where noted above). It varies depending on whether the service is express/air or standard/road. Fuel surcharges are updated regularly.

Insurance
- Up to 50€ free insurance cover
- Additional insurance up to 2.500€
Size and Weight Restrictions: GLS (no surcharge)
- Max. recommended weight per piece: 30kg
- Max. dimensions per piece (without surcharge): 200cm x 80cm x 60cm; Girth is calculated as follows: (sum of two smallest dimensions x2) + longest dimension: max. 3m.
How It Works
- How our GLS service works
GLS - How It Works
With our GLS service, parcels are shipped from our depot. You have the option of dropping your consignment off at our depot, using one of our collection services, or choosing one of hundreds UPS drop-off locations nationwide.
Please add 1 working day to your estimated transit time if booking either an optional collection or an alternative drop-off option.
Once your commercial shipment has been delivered to our depot, we will process it and forward your parcel to its final destination via GLS.

- The following goods may not be shipped with GLS:
Prohibited Items:
- Parcels with a value over 5.000€
- Insuffieciently packaged goods
- Fragile goods requiring special treatment
- Perishable/temperature-sensitive goods, mortal remains, blood preserves, organs, live animals
- Prescription drugs
- Precious metals, precious stones, watches, jewelry, works of art worth more than 750 euros per package.
- Data carriers with sensitive information
- Phone and PrePaid Cards
- Money, securities etc.
- Firearms, ammunition
- Dangerous Goods
- Parcels with franking "Freight collect"
