Packing car parts correctly

The packaging you use for your car parts must be strong and secure. All parts inside the box need to be well-padded in order to minimise the risk of any damage.

If you ship car parts with sharp edges or corners, please cushion them with bubble wrap or polystyrene. Cover any delicate car parts or shiny surfaces that could get scratched, as well as cushioning any potential joints or threads.

Remove all liquids

You’ll need to remove all liquids such as oil and water for transit. If there are certain parts you are unable to empty of liquids, make sure they won’t leak during transit.

Engines should be professionally cleaned to remove all residual fuel, oil or grease. There must not be any combustible, inflammable or corrosive materials in your shipment.

Make sure the car parts are empty before you start packing them. Remove all liquids such as oils and water. If you are unable to empty certain parts, make sure they cannot leak during transit.

Once your car parts are padded, put them in a cardboard box. The car parts must be snug and tight and should not move around. Please fill all remaining space with materials such as polystyrene chips or air cushions.

Sealing and labelling the package

Once your car part is packed securely, seal the package with strong tape. Attach the shipping label to the largest side of your parcel.
