UPS Envelopes You must use a branded UPS envelope for this service and your documents must weigh no more 0.5kg. UPS envelopes measure 335x240mm and can hold up to 150 pieces of 90g/m² A4 paper. We can post some to you upon request.

Surcharges

Surcharge Description	Fee
Additional Handling Charged for: Any article that is not packaged in a cardboard box or that is encased in an outside shipping container made of metal or wood. Any cylindrical item (e.g. barrel, drum, tyre) that is not fully encased in a corrugated cardboard shipping container. Any package with the longest side exceeding 100cm or second longest side exceeding 76cm Any package with an actual weight greater than 25 kg Each package in a shipment where the average weight per package is greater than 25 kg, and the weight of each package has not been specified on the source document	Domestic: 20,15€ per parcel, plus fuel surcharge. International: 22,75€ per parcel, plus fuel surcharge.
Address Correction Administered if any part of the collection or delivery address is missing or incorrect	7,60€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge.
Signature Required Applies if signature is requested upon delivery to a residential address.	1,45€ per shipment
Delivered Taxes Paid (Duty Reversal) Fee An admin charge for billing customs duties and taxes to the shipper rather than the receiver. It applies in addition to any customs charges.	23,90€ per shipment
Disbursement Fee A fee applied when UPS prepays duties, taxes and other government charges on behalf of the payer.	6,60€ per shipment
Extended/Remote Area Surcharge Administered if the delivery location is classed as falling within an "extended" area. You can download the full list of Extended Areas from the UPS website.	Domestic: 0,26€ per kg or at least 11,04€ per shipment whichever is greater, plus fuel surcharge. International: 0,62€ per kg or at least 30,30€ per shipment whichever is greater, plus fuel surcharge.
Fee for Prohibited Items An admin fee charged for shipments that contain prohibited items.	138,90€ per shipment
Large Package Surcharge Any package with an actual weight equal to or greater than 40kg, or a girth greater than 300cm.	86,85€ per parcel, plus fuel surcharge.
Over Maximum Limits Any package with a girth greater than 400cm, or a length greater than 274cm, or a weight greater than 70kg.	426,00€ per parcel, plus fuel surcharge TEMPORARY PEAK SURCHARGE: €400 per parcel, plus fuel. This applies in addition to the base surcharge.
Residential Delivery Applies if the delivery address is a residential address.	3,15€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge.
Same Day Collection Applies for scheduling a collection to take place on the same day the service is booked. Does not apply to Access Point drop-offs.	5,29€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge.
Saturday Delivery Applied for Saturday domestic deliveries.	UPS Express: Domestic: 24,40€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge. International: 79,80€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge. UPS Standard (only DE, UK, FR, IT, NL, ES, PL, BE): Domestic: 7,15€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge. International: 8,35€ per shipment, plus fuel surcharge.
Fuel Surcharge A fee charged by UPS that covers the fluctuating cost of fuel. It is included in our prices and added on to some other surcharges as a percentage (where noted above). It varies depending on whether the service is express/air or standard/road.* Fuel surcharges are updated regularly.	Please refer to the latest fuel surcharges

Please note: For multi-piece shipments, DHL calculates the actual weight or the volumetric weight of each parcel (whichever is greater) and then adds them all together, rather than calculating the total weight or volume of the whole consignment.

Volumetric weight is calculated using 5000 as the divisor. How volumetric weight is calculated.

Delivery Attempts - more info

Delivery Attempts

UPS will make only two "proactive" delivery attempts for domestic shipments and cross-border Standard shipments. After this, UPS will attempt to contact the consignee or shipper to arrange a third attempt. After 5 business days, it will be marked as undeliverable and returned to the shipper.

This includes services where Signature Required has been selected.

For Express and other worldwide shipments, UPS will continue to make up to three delivery attempts.

Driver Release Policy

In some countries, UPS operates a driver release policy, which means packages may be left at residential delivery addresses without a signature—unless you request a Signature Required service (see Surcharges below).

Driver release applies as long as there is a safe, out-of-sight location that is sheltered from the weather. The residence must be a single-family dwelling with a private entrance.

However, this does not apply to business addresses or multi-family dwellings (apartments, condos, etc). Deliveries of high value packages will be at the driver’s discretion.

The driver release policy applies to the following countries:

- USA
In other countries, UPS will not leave a shipment without obtaining a signature (with the exception of some rural areas where deliveries are carried out by a third party and proof of delivery is not always possible).

Due to heightened security measures UPS may deem some items to be 'too dense for X-ray' in which case they will be returned. We are unable to supply a list of items to which this may apply however heavy car parts and audio equipment are often returned for this reason. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these measures which are outside our control.
